Tree Climbing

A lifetime experience for true adventurers.

Climb an enormous, user-friendly Strangler Fig—top-roped to a viewing perch nearly 70 feet high with sweeping views over the Golfo Dulce. Difficulty is based on the route you choose, with expert guidance every step of the way. Note: Brisa’s 80-year-old grandma made it to the top!

Once at the perch, ring the bell and rappel down with an exhilarating swing back to Earth.

On the trek to the tree, your guide, a local biologist, shares the mysteries of rainforest ecology. The journey begins in a coastal community alive with macaws, toucans, and sloths, ascending through lush forest filled with heliconias, hummingbirds, and towering tropical trees. Along the way, you’ll learn about plant and animal relationships, indigenous knowledge, and the forest’s importance to our future.

Starting location is a 15-minute walk from the lodge.
