Surfing
Pan Dulce has an incredible long point wave and the inside section has a perfect learners wave. It is located in front of the Yoga Deck.
Backwash is an amazing beach with beautiful waves and it is the favorite of many surfers.
Matapalo is a little more exposed surf break and picks up more swell.
Many additional surfing destinations are available within a short boat ride including Pavones, Punta Banco, Punta Burica, and more.

Surfboard Rental
You can rent surfboards directly at Encanta La Vida lodge.
We offer beginner and intermediate boards for $20 per day, as well as high-performance Channel Islands boards, including CI Log Longboard 9´0´´, Water Hug 7´6´´, and Feb’s Fish 6´0´´ & 5´5´´, for $50 per day, available to both guests and non-guests.
The beach is right in front of Encanta La Vida – no long walks with the boards! Just grab one, walk to the beach, and have fun.
We can also arrange private or group surf lessons. Just ask us during your stay and we’ll set it up for you.
